13 players from Murakwai competed at the Neil Adams Classic at the Meadowbank Sports Stadium in Edinburgh yesterday. We won 4 Golds, 1 Silver, 2 Bronzes, & had 1 5th place finish & 2 7th place finishes.

Several players from the club gained promotions at the Grading last Saturday in Ulidia, Carrickfergus.
In the Juniors Daniel Hodgett moved from middle to top Orange, Conor Kelly gained his Green belt, Jack Eachus gained his Blue, Daniel Mayhew gained his Brown and Caitlin Eachus moved from bottom to middle Blue. Read the rest of this entry »
Murakwai had 12 players competing for their club & school at the Ulster Schools Champioships held in Glengormley High School. We won 6 Golds, 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes and had 2 5th place finishes. A big thank you to Hazama Judo Club for hosting a fantastic event, a great day was had by all!
Jodie Kee was Northern Ireland’s sole competitor at this year’s GB Cadet Trials. Jodie won 4 fights out of 5 defeating the Scottish number 1 and the top 3 English fighters in the under 52kg category, only losing to the winner – Jade Lewis of Wales by a yuko. This was the selection event for the GB Cadet team to travel to Prague for the Cadet European Championships.
