Cameron Kelly was Northern Ireland’s star performer at the Heart of England Judo Championships yesterday in Walsall. Cameron won all 4 of his contests by the maximum Ippon score with several impressive throws to claim Gold in his first event in his new weight category (-60kgs). Kiah Reid was Northern Ireland’s only other medallist claiming Bronze in the under 32kg category. There were several other Murakwai players representing NI who all impressed but unfortunately finished outside the medals, these included Conor Kelly, Robyn Kelly, James Reid, Daniel Mayhew, Aaron Drury, Caitlin Hull, Rory Kelly, Alan Kerr, Ian Mitchell & Richard Mayne. Congratulations to the entire NI Squad who participated in one of the UK’s biggest domestic tournaments.
