34 Medals at the NI Trials!

Congratulations to all Murakwai players on a fantastic day at the Northern Ireland Trials! We won a remarkable 14 Gold, 12 Silver & 8 Bronze medals! In the combined A & AA Band there were 2 Gold medals won by Alex Kelly & Matthew Elliott, 4 of the Golds were won in the combined B & C Band by Kiah Reid, Conor Kelly, Cameron Kelly & Daniel Mayhew. There was 1 Gold in the D Band won by Jodie Kee & 1 in the Lower Kyu won by Alan Murphy. There were 4 Golds in the Seniors, 2 for Jodie Kee who won her weight & the Open weight and 1 for Ian Mitchell & Richard Mayne. The final 2 Golds were won in the Masters by Adam McCune & Scott Mayne. Well done to everyone who took part in a great day’s judo!

Another Gold for Cameron

Cameron Kelly has claimed a Gold Medal at another British Ranking Tournament. Following on from winning the Heart of England and the British Championships, Cameron won the Midland Area Age Bands to reaffirm himself as the number 1 pre-cadet u60kg player in Great Britain. After receiving a bye in the 1st round, Cameron won his quarter-final & semi-final with superb Ippon throws and went on to win his final by a yuko. Well done Cameron!
